Transit, including buses, trains, shuttles and vans, that are available to the public, is a key component of inclusive and sustainable communities. The City and County of Broomfield is conducting a study to identify ways to improve transit access for all ages, abilities and income levels. Your input will be used to help guide recommendations for transit service improvements.
Project Overview
Broomfield continues to grow and change and so do the mobility needs of its residents. A transit study will help identify ways to improve transit access both now and into the future. By taking a close look at community demographics, travel patterns, planned developments and current transit services, the project team will be able to understand current and future mobility needs and identify gaps in the current transit network. Using these findings and community input, the study will recommend ways to improve transit service in Broomfield.
Community Engagement
Share your thoughts by participating in the Broomfield Transit Study! Public input is a key part of this study. Input will be gathered in two phases: at the beginning of the project to help develop recommendations and near the end of the project to get feedback on the draft recommendations.
Phase One (June-October 2024) - Complete
The first round of outreach included surveys, pop-up events, an online mapping tool, and focus groups. This effort engaged more than 3,000 residents and provided valuable insights into community needs.
Phase Two (June-August 2025) - Complete
The project team shared what was learned and how public feedback has influenced the draft recommendations. Community input during this phase helped finalize the plan and ensure it reflects Broomfield’s current and future transit needs.
