Briefing Descriptions

All briefings took place 6-7:30 p.m. in the Broomfield City Council Chambers at the George DiCiero City and County Building.

Transportation and Traffic Briefing

Learn about regional transportation projects, local multimodal projects and traffic engineering/traffic safety at the Transportation and Traffic Broomfield Community Briefing. The briefing will provide the opportunity to hear from city and county staff on these topics and questions can be asked of the experts. Submit questions up to 48 hours before the briefing. The Transportation and Traffic Broomfield Community Briefing will take place on Aug. 7.

Economic Long-Range Financial Plan and Financial Status Briefing

The 2025 Community Survey highlighted fiscal sustainability and resilience to again be the community’s top priority. Learn more about how the City and County of Broomfield intends to support this goal at the Economic Long-Range Financial Plan and Financial Status Broomfield Community Briefing, as well as update on current economic conditions and fiscal status. The briefing will provide the opportunity to hear from CCOB staff on this topic and questions can be asked of the experts. Submit questions up to 48 hours before the briefing. The Economic Long-Range Financial Plan and Financial Status Community Briefing will take place Aug. 21.

Development and Housing Briefing

At the Development and Housing Community Briefing, learn about current and future development anticipated in Broomfield, long-range planning and your opportunities for public engagement on both, along with the Broomfield Housing Division programs. The briefing will provide the opportunity to hear from city and county staff on these topics and questions can be asked of the experts. Submit questions by Aug. 29 at 5 p.m. The Development and Housing Broomfield Community Briefing will take place on Sept. 3.

These Broomfield Community Briefings allow the community to hear from subject matter experts about the current and future outlook of the City and County of Broomfield. You can participate in the Broomfield Community Briefings by submitting questions you'd like the presenters to address at least 48 hours in advance of each briefing.     On Sept. 3, City and County of Broomfield staff answered community questions on the current and future development anticipated in Broomfield. At the briefing, attendees heard a presentation from members of the Community Development and Economic Vitality departments and learned about the current conditions and activity of development in Broomfield, including an update of the progress of Broomfield’s developing places such as Baseline, Broomfield Town Square and FlatIron Crossing redevelopment, as well as more on the Broomfield Housing Division programs available.
