    So looking forward to getting this year's shirt! I'm starting a new collection because most of the past shirts were well-worn and then sewed into a t-shirt quilt!

    Having lived in Broomfield since 1975, I’ve seen LOTS of changes in our small town, and one of the better ones has been Broomfield Days, which has grown bigger and better since it’s inception. Until this year, that is. When I saw that BD will be ‘virtual’ this time, and they wanted stories from our residents, I first thought of a typical year when I look at the collector cars, sample the food, check out the booths and try to avoid Paul Derda and his microphone, so he doesn’t embarrass me, again.

    We were delighted to be included in the Broomfield Days Parade and Vendor Fair last Fall. We enjoyed visiting with the residents of Broomfield and the surrounding communities. We enjoyed the fine food the locals had to offer and waited in several lines to get a taste from as many as possible. We’re thankful for the opportunity to share virtually this Fall as everyone is doing their best to make the most of the current health crisis in order to keep businesses open while still protecting the health of residents.     The Broomfield Dems' "float" from the 2019 Parade. We thought the photo showed the concept "of moving forward", and the importance of positive messaging during an election year, when Broomfield voters chose a mayor and new city council members. (Laurie Anderson, Heidi Henkel, Patrick Quinn, Stan Jezierski, Jean Lim).

    All of the candidates' supporters marched near the Broomfield County Democrats' "float" in the 2019 Parade, and we all had a great time participating in this premier, annual community event.

    Here are some photos from Nativity Faith and Reason school from the 2019 BDP. Our float theme was "Noah's Ark", and we won first place for religious float last year! Photos show our students and Fr, Michael during the parade, as well as one photo from the float decorating the day before.
