Good morning and thanks so much for reaching out to our Broomfield Voice page.

Currently we have the Grand Vue Townhomes at Interlocken as part of our deed restricted Townhomes (inclusionary/attainable workforce housing)

For 2024, Incomes can reach up to but not over the following

    1 person: $73,040

    2 persons: $83,520

A single income of 55K will be challenging to find a home in your price range in Broomfield as home prices exceed what someone making 55K can afford.

We are expecting our Down Payment Assistance Program to be available later this summer. The Down Payment assistance is for qualified buyers within a certain income where they could receive 10% of the purchase price of the home.

For example, if the Grand Vue townhomes are 405K, a potential homebuyer could receive 40,500 as down payment. This program can be used in conjunction with other programs as long as they are not programs through the the State's programs through the Division of Housing.

You may want to reach out to Grand Vue to see if they could help you qualify.

Hello, The Broomfield Housing Division doesn't own or operate properties in Broomfield. If you go to the Broomfield Housing Alliance website, https://www.broomfieldhousingalliance.org/resources#HOUSINGRESOURCES, they have a list of income aligned apartments in the area, as well as links to search for properties that fit what you are looking for.

Thanks for your inquiry. The Broomfield Housing Division does not own or operate any low income housing, we are working with developers to bring the housing to Broomfield.

Please conduct an online search for Low Income Housing Tax Credit Housing (LIHTC apartments) in the areas that you are interested in living in; a list should pop up with each municipality you try-you will need to be mindful of which apartments are age restricted. The next step will be to reach out to the apartments' office manager directly to find out if there are any vacancies.

Thanks for your important question, Felicia.

There are many variables to this question, and depending on the amount of resources and whether or not there is income, where you are located, etc. Due to the complexity of the situation and if you are from the Broomfield area, your best option is to work with Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN) at 303-444-2424. If you are in the Denver area please reach out to Denver Safehouse at 303-318-9959

The National Hotline is 800-799-7233 or text to 88788

    Good Morning, Kim

In April of 2023, the state pulled vouchers to re-examine and better align the payment standards to cover the cost of increasing rents and costs of living across the state. The State has shared that municipalities can expect to see the program up and running at the end of the 2023 year/beginning of 2024; maybe sooner.

In 2022, The City and County of Broomfield appointed an independent housing authority called Broomfield Housing Alliance. They will be the administrators of the voucher programs.

Pease contact: Adrianna Choury at achoury@broomfieldhousingalliance.org or call 720-902-6404 or visit their website by clicking on Broomfield Housing Alliance

Every County has a different office and you will need to contact each authority for those places you are interested in living. Please look to the other questions that have been asked regarding other counties information along the Front Range.

City and County of Broomfield can't legally mediate disputes. Here are some resources for you. Low-income persons may receive assistance from Colorado Housing Connects Tenant-Landlord Hotline at 1.844.926.6632. In addition, if you believe you may be experiencing discrimination, contact the HUD Office of Fair Housing at 800-669-9777 to discuss your complaint. If you need legal assistance for a pending eviction, contact Colorado Legal Services at https://www.coloradolegalservices.org or 303-837-1313.
