Phase Two Engagement Wraps Up for the Broomfield Transit Study

The project team has concluded the second phase of public engagement for the Broomfield Transit Study. This phase focused on gathering feedback on the five draft recommendations for transit service improvements.

During Phase Two, the project team connected with residents and stakeholders through a variety of outreach efforts:

  • Three focus group meetings with internal Broomfield staff, local and regional partners, and representatives from community organizations serving veterans, low-income residents, youth, people with disabilities, and Spanish-speaking community members to gather feedback on the draft recommendations.

  • Seven pop-up events at locations and events across the community, engaging with more than 200 people at:

    • BrewHaHa Community Celebration

    • Broomfield Library

    • Summer Concert at Midway Park

    • Front Range Mobile Home Community

    • Bike to Work Day

    • Broomfield FISH

    • National Night Out

  • An online survey that received input from more than 80 participants.

During Phase Two engagement, the Project Team heard strong support for expanding local transit options in Broomfield, with the highest priority placed on a new local bus route, followed by extending FlexRide service hours.

The final phase of the project will focus on finalizing the recommendations and preparing the final plan, which staff will present to City Council on October 21.
