Transportation Safety Action Plan

<p>Find out more and share your thoughts about transit in Broomfield!</p><p>Transit, or buses, trains, or vans that are available to the public and used to get customers from point A to point B, both locally and regionally, is a key ingredient for creating an equitable and sustainable community. The City and County of Broomfield is conducting a study to identify ways to improve transit for Broomfield residents, commuters and visitors. Your input will be used to help guide recommendations for transit service improvements.</p><h2>Project Overview</h2><p>Broomfield continues to grow and change, and so do the mobility needs of its residents. A transit study is needed to help identify ways to improve transit access for all ages, abilities and incomes. By taking a close look at community demographics, travel patterns, planned developments and current transit services (like the Regional Transportation District (RTD) Flexride and bus routes and Broomfield Easy Ride), we will be able to understand current and future mobility needs and identify gaps in the current transit network. Using these findings and community input, the study will develop recommendations for how the City and County of Broomfield can work with transit providers to offer more convenient transit options.</p><h2>Public Engagement</h2><p>How can transit services be more convenient and available to you? Share your thoughts by participating in the Broomfield Transit Study! Input will be gathered in two phases: at the beginning of the project to help develop recommendations and near the end of the project to get feedback on the draft recommendations.</p><p>Phase one engagement will begin this summer, employing a variety of methods through which community members can provide input, including a transit survey, engagement at popular summer events, a virtual open house and focus groups.</p><p>Phase two engagement is planned during Spring and Summer of 2025. During this phase, the project team will share how public engagement has shaped the plan, and community members will have an opportunity to provide input on the draft recommendations.</p>

You play an integral role in protecting the health of the public and BPHE greatly values your thoughts and opinions. You may have participated in an in-person Food Forum in the past, but this year we are using Broomfield Voice to improve ease and accessibility of participation. </p><h2 dir="ltr">Project Goals</h2><p dir="ltr">The goal of this online forum is to collect your feedback so BPHE can provide better resources and services to your business. BPHE&rsquo;s retail food program staff want to support you and help local retail food businesses succeed!</p><h2 dir="ltr">Public Engagement</h2><p dir="ltr">This forum is open from September 3-30. You can &ldquo;like&rdquo; or reply to other people&rsquo;s comments and share your own comments. This feedback will be used to improve the retail food program&#39;s resources and services to help your business succeed.</p>

<p>Participate in the community listening tour to share your experiences and perceptions of the Broomfield Police, as well as your ideas for police engagement in Broomfield! The Broomfield Police Department (BPD) is excited to hear directly from the community. Learn how you can participate in these community listening sessions by reading below.</p><h2>Project Overview</h2><p>This listening tour is an opportunity for you to connect with BPD and give honest feedback. Your participation will help the BPD understand what the department is doing well, what they can improve and how community members want to engage with the police. Throughout 2024, the BPD will be listening to community members through community listening sessions, focus groups and online surveys.</p><h3><strong>Up Next: Community Listening Sessions</strong></h3><p>Participate in a community listening session to share your experiences interacting with the police, what you feel the BPD should focus on and how you think police engagement in Broomfield can be improved. At the community listening sessions, you&rsquo;ll have the opportunity to participate in group activities and discuss topics in small groups facilitated by Broomfield police officers. The BPD is excited to listen to the community and hear firsthand experiences, concerns and ideas.</p><p><strong>Community listening sessions will be held at the following dates and locations. Registration is required:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>June 12</strong> from 4-6 p.m. at the Broomfield Community Center. </li><li><strong>July 10</strong> from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Broomfield Community Center.* <strong><a href="https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0B49A8A62AA7FB6-49732426-broomfield#/">Register now</a>!</strong></li></ul><p><em>*Light dinner, door prizes (including JAX merchandise) and childcare for children ages 2 1/2 to 10 years old will be provided at both community listening sessions. Childcare will be provided on a first come, first served basis.</em></p><p><br></p><h2>Public Engagement</h2><p>There are multiple opportunities for you to share your experiences and feedback with the Broomfield Police. These include an online pulse survey, participating in a community listening session and participating in a focus group. The BPD will compile and analyze stories and experiences shared by the community to determine the department&rsquo;s strengths and identify ways to improve engagement with the community. All feedback will be compiled, analyzed and shared with the BPD, City Council and the community.</p>
