About Mike Lutz

Born in Boulder and raised in Broomfield, Mike Lutz has spent his life serving the community he calls home. With a background in civic planning and a deep understanding of community infrastructure, Mike has brought thoughtfulness, efficiency, and heart to his work at Broomfield FISH for the past 15 years.

As the Food Operations Manager, Mike oversees the daily logistics of the marketplace and food programs that support thousands of local families each year. His strategic mind and hands-on dedication keep operations running smoothly, ensuring that food is available and accessible to those who need it most.

Mike also co-created the Adopt a Shelf program with a dedicated volunteer—a collaborative, community-driven initiative that invites individuals and groups to keep specific shelves stocked year-round. It’s just one example of the quiet leadership and innovative thinking that define his work.

Whether managing large-scale food distributions, staying late to restock shelves, or lending a hand to a neighbor in need, Mike shows up with compassion, humility, and an unwavering commitment to service. His impact was honored with the prestigious Heart of Broomfield award.

Mike Lutz is a humble force behind the scenes whose dedication has made Broomfield a better place for everyone. Naming him Grand Marshal is a fitting tribute to his years of service and the countless lives he has touched.
