From 2010 - 2018, the third weekend in September was always a big one for our family. My daughter, Ana, has a September 19 birthday, so some years Broomfield Days fell on her actual birthday, most years it just fell on the Saturday when we would celebrate her birthday. But pre-party, she would dance in the parade and on the stage for this fun filled community pride building event. Beginning with her first year of competitive dance at Elite Dance Academy in 2010 through her senior year as a Broomfield High School Pom, it was always one of the highlights of the year. For nine years we attended Broomfield days as dance spectators, but also got to enjoy the fun, the food, the dogs, and of course, Paul Derda as emcee.
