Environmental Stewardship Advisory Task Force Update - September 2019

Come visit members of the Environmental Stewardship Advisory Task Force (ESATF) at the Broomfield booth at Broomfield Days, Saturday, September 21st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.!

ESATF presented their report to City Council on June 18, 2019. The report can be viewed here(External link). In the report, the ESATF requested that Council approve funding for two reports:

  1. A waste composition study to quantify sources of trash
  2. A Sustainable energy benchmarking and greenhouse gas emissions study
Council approved the funding of these reports on July 9, 2019. The memo requesting Council approval can be viewed here(External link).

The ESATF also requested a change to the Waste Hauler requirements in Broomfield and an extension of the term for the task force. These changes were approved by City Council in August.
