Environmental Stewardship Advisory Task Force Update

The Environmental Stewardship Advisory Task Force (ESATF) presented their report to City Council on June 18, 2019. The report can be viewed here. In the report, the ESATF requested that Council approve funding for two reports:

  1. A waste composition study to quantify sources of trash
  2. A Sustainable energy benchmarking and greenhouse gas emissions study
Council approved the funding of these reports on July 9, 2019. The memo requesting Council approval can be viewed here.

The ESATF has also requested a change to the Waste Hauler requirements in Broomfield and an extension of the term for the task force. These requests will be presented to City Council for approval in July and August.
